Today I danced with the
Green Fairy,
And laughed as sugar tumbled
from a brilliant mind to immerse itself
in the drowsiness of genius.
She sang me into understanding,
Each drop of water
Welling over into a clarity that makes
All things lucid, and natural,
All things, right.
And each smothered touch
of cloudy liquorish
Brazened itself in simple clarity
Across my tongue, pressing
Me towards an even sharper end.
If only every hour was
L’heure verte
Green Fairy,

Alrighty, so i think its only fair now to tell you what this is actually about.
The Green Fairy is another name for Absinthe which is a drink formerly illegal in many countries.
To drink absinthe you put it in a specific type of glass. A flat spoon with holes is placed on the rim. You put a sugar cube on the spoon and slowly dribble water over it to dilute the drink with sugar water.
Absinthe is not a volatile drink. Instead you supposedly feel more logical and intelligent. Calm and peaceful, like everything makes sense. It is many times known as the Green Muse because so many famous artists and writers drank it.

Though I suppose its only fair to tell you that
L’heure verte is French for "The Green Hour".
